What do you mean by “inzet”, “opbod” and “afslag”?
A real estate auction starts with an ascending-bid phase.
- In the first five minutes, bidders can keep placing higher bids. This phase is also called the “inzetfase” or “opbodfase”; the act of bidding is called “opbieden”.
- The start and end time of this phase are announced in advance.
- If a bidder places a bid in the final 30 seconds, the time is automatically extended to 60 seconds.
The person with the highest bid at the end of this phase is called the “inzetter”.
If the real estate is sold later in the auction, the inzetter may receive a stake premium.
Please note: the final price is increased by additional costs, such as transfer tax, VAT, auction costs and pro-memoria costs.
