2. What do I need the registration statement for?
"To bid on real estate, you need a signed registration statement. The signature on the statement must be legalized by a civil-law notary, and the notary must verify your identity.
We need the registration statement to be certain of who you are. The statement links your account to your identity, or to your organization.
To participate in real estate auctions, you only need to have your signature on the registration statement legalized once. Once this legalization has been completed and processed by our platform notary, you can bid in Vastgoed Veiling’s real estate auctions. Any civil-law notary in the Netherlands can perform the legalization.
Download the registration statement and see which notary offices can arrange the legalization for you free of charge.
Identification and legalization of the signature by a civil-law notary is mandatory for real estate auctions. Municipal legalization is not sufficient.
Check your personal details carefully
Bids placed through your account are attributed to the person or organization named in your registration statement. Make sure the personal details in your statement match those on your identification document. Do not give anyone access to your account, because you are responsible for bids made through that account.
Have your details changed? For example, because you have moved or submitted a change to the Chamber of Commerce? Remember to update the details in your account."
